August 2001–present	The Journal News/LoHud.com, staff writer, White Plains, N.Y. Produce multimedia news for a daily newspaper and website serving Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties. Investigative reporting in 2011 included:     • An analysis of the City of Yonkers' rising municipal salaries during the recession     • A report about state officials' investigation of financial misconduct at Mount Eden Cemetery in Valhalla, N.Y.     • A report on how Mount Vernon, N.Y. routinely ignores Freedom of Information Law requests.
April 1999–August 2001	Herald News, reporter, Woodland Park, N.J. Reported on the City of Clifton and wrote about religion and culture in Passaic County.
November 1997–April 1999	New York Blade News, freelance contributor, New York, N.Y. Wrote articles on lesbian and gay culture, music, books and theater for a New York City readership.
January 1997–April 1999	The Village Voice, editorial assistant, New York, N.Y. Helped the editors with general office duties and wrote a weekly night clubbing column. Contributed articles on the Internet, music and theater. Started as an intern, then a part-time copy editor.
